Flametree Productions Limited is a highly bespoke and original production company. We invite participants to get hands on exploring all aspects of the production process from project conception to post production evaluation; from writing, devising, set design and construction, performance, sound and lighting, to designing and making costumes, publicity, marketing and audience interactions, directing and stage management.
Flametree’s highly specialised wealth of knowledge and experience allows each individual participant the freedom of creativity and self-expression. Our projects actively encourage the development of confidence, understanding, communication & respect. Whether Flametree Productions are running holiday programmes for young people, issue-based multi-media arts projects, social skills and communication workshops, theatre based training or integrated community arts forums a dynamic and personalised approach underpins all of our work. Participants are invited to get hands on and explore all different art forms in a stimulating, challenging and thought-provoking environment.
After a period of consultation during early 2009, and in partnership with Dacorum Extended Schools, Dacorum Youth Productions (DYP) was launched in July 09. DYP is a young person led organisation for 8-18 year olds, where its members are encouraged to voice their opinions and ideas alongside professional artists. Now in its second year, DYP has over 300 members, a peer leadership scheme and a youth planning group which meets regularly to ensure that DYP continues to offer a truly unique opportunity that caters for the needs and interests of young people in Dacorum.
